We live in a world
of insecurity. All too often, the innocent are accused while the
guilty walk free; right is confused with wrong, and good is looked
upon as evil. Morals are lost; all too often replaced by careless behaviours with troubled results. Nations are restless, governments
are corrupt, and economies are crumbling.
But there is one
constant in a world roiling with confusion, and that is the Savior of
mankind, even Jesus Christ. One may wonder, 'where is peace?' Where
has solace eluded in this world where anguish weighs heavily? Where
do we collapse into loving arms that will not let us down? The
answers all refer only to Christ.
For it was only
Jesus Christ who passed through that same fire and felt the pain
experienced by so many each day. He stands beside each of us, ready
to catch us when we fall, willing to carry us when have not the
strength for one more step, and yearning for us to turn to Him and
allow Him in our lives.
Wherever you may
be; whomever you are, I implore you, take a moment to think of Jesus
Christ. He gave His life for you. If all you can spare is a passing
thought, it is better than no thought at all. He is deserving of our
love, our attention, our honor, and much more.
