Jesus Declares: I Am the Light of the World, the Truth Shall Make You Free

Christ taught us to follow him.  Even though life may be challenging at times, hold to the light which is Jesus Christ.  Through Him, we can be set free of all that binds us.

Charity Never Faileth

Charity is a rare commodity in the world today.  Hopefully by passing this along, I can help reignite Christlike love.

Always remember him

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

None other has had such a profound effect upon the world as Jesus Christ.  His unconditional love is unmatched yet saturates the fiber of each person's soul whether or not they realize it.

Angels among us by Alabama

With all the troubles around us today, I find comfort in knowing that we are watched over by divine intervention.  I truly believe we are surrounded by angels, sent here to be available for whenever we are willing to accept their help.

Madison Rising - The Star Spangled Banner

There are many versions of the National Anthem.  This is one of my favorites.

America, America

America, America...
The red horizon of the morn,
spreads abroad and adorns,
the face of she called Liberty.
Warms the land, each town and city.
Closely now, turn your ear.
If you listen, you will hear
the breath of God.  He calls her name.
His fingers touch and her He claims.

America, America...
The rustles of the gentle breeze,
touches branch and changing leaves.
Like silken locks, her beauty beams.
And every nation from her gleams.
Ah, the whisper, turn your ear.
Hush and listen, you will hear.
The sigh of God, it can't be missed.
Upon her brow, He has kissed.

America, America...
The lapping waves of ocean scenes,
flowing rivers and lakes and streams.
Mountains high and rolling hills,
song birds singing peaceful trills.
Can you hear it?  Turn you ear.
Yes, I promise, you will hear.
God's gentle laughter as He delights
in the land of hope and light.

America, America...
Woe to him who lifts a hand
to strike her from without or in.
On one who seeks to crush the rose,
the thorn will prick a deathly blow.
In the fire you will hear
His anger roar, hot to sear.
Trifle not with unseen power,
or His wrath will make you cower.

America, America...
Remember Him who gave you might.
Turn again unto His light.
See His arms are open wide.
From all danger you can hide.
If you listen, you will hear,
as He calls you to come near.
If you hearken, He will stand,
and fight your battles with His hand.

If I perish, I perish.

My entire life I have struggle with fears of one kind or another... fear of what others may think, fear of failure.....fear of success.  But I admire Esther in that she faced a magnificent challenge with tremendous courage.  With possible death as a consequence, Esther chose to save her people rather than herself.  In Esther 4:16 she coined the famous phrase, "If I perish, I perish."  Even with the knowledge that she could die, she chose what she knew was right.

Please leave a comment for me and others to hear your own stories of courage, thoughts, or comments.  Also, please share this post with others so that we can spread a good word to everyone.  Who knows, maybe someone needs a little extra courage right now.  Thanks
